Fairgrounds Park with its old enormous trees (from as far back as 1796) is in the grove for which Council Grove is named.

Fairgrounds Park is a 12-hole course that is great for beginners and intermediate players. Each hole has two pin locations. The course winds through the park, taking advantage of natural and man-made obstacles. Most holes range from 250'-350'. Holes 8A and 12A are over 500' and will push most players for long, accurate drives. The course was redesigned and upgraded with DGA Mach V baskets in 2016
