Sunflower Sampler (11)
Saturday, September 24, 2011 - Celebrating Kansas' 150th birthday, and founding father, Seth Hays' 200th birthday, with events on the Riverwalk, the Kaw Mission, and Downtown. Activities included Chalk on the Walk, Sunflower Seed Spitting Contest, Sunflower Seed Baking Contest, Sunflower Seed Art Contest, children's activities, birthday cake, and a food sampling. Horse drawn trolley rides, along with miniature train rides combined with the beautiful fall weather made for a great day of fun! -
